Kinderen die geneigd zijn de intenties van anderen als vijandig te interpreteren, hebben een grotere kans om agressieve gedragsproblemen ontwikkelen. Het is dus belangrijk vroege ontwikkeling vijandige interpretatiestijl beter begrijpen. Wij onderzochten of gesprekken ouders met hun kinderen voeren over het gedrag leeftijdsgenootjes hierop invloed is. Studie 1 (N = 109, leeftijd 4-7) was observatiestudie waarin in gesprek gingen prentenboek daarin sociale conflictsituaties. Abstract Children who tend to interpret others’ intentions as hostile are at heightened risk for the development aggressive behavior problems. It therefore important understand early such attribution biases. We examined whether parent-child conversations about peers could be one explanatory mechanism.
